HENNA BROW FAQ'S

Is it permanent?
No, it’s not. It is not a tattoo, it is not invasive, it does not hurt. It simply stains the skin and tints the hair.

How long does it last?

Like anything, results do VARY, however, most of the time you can expect the skin stain to gradually fade over 7-14days and the hair tint 4weeks. As I said though, this is not guaranteed. Sometimes, the henna just doesn’t take well to certain people’s skin. Your lifestyle also plays a big part in the longevity i.e. swimming, excessive sweating, using face products on the eye area etc will all result in your henna brows fading faster than usual.

Does it have to be dark?

NO! We have 12 different colours, ranging from blonde to ebony, warm auburn tones to cool browns. We also custom blend the tint to best suit each individual client and their desired outcome. If you don’t want your brows to be dark, THATS OK! A lighter tint obviously will fade quicker than a darker one however, again the decision is yours!

Why are all the pictures of henna so dark?
Most of the pictures we share look dark because the Henna tint is still on. This is because most of our clients CHOOSE to leave their henna on. Once the Henna is brushed out, the result is much softer and no where near as dark.

Do I have to leave the Henna on?
The short answer is... NO! At the end of your appointment, we give you the option, we can brush them out for you OR we give you a spoolie so that you can do them in your own time. We do however recommend for longevity that you avoid getting them wet for 24hrs. In some cases, our clients find that they get a longer lasting result by leaving the henna on. This may mean you leave it on for 1hr or you may leave it on for 24hrs- it’s completely up to YOU and what sort of result YOU want. My best advise is to just try it for yourself and work out what works best for you.

Does Henna last longer than regular tint?
For most people, the answer is yes it does. However, for some people it’s the opposite. This is not something we can control nor guarantee. We make every effort to ensure that you do get a great result. Again, the only way to truly find out is to try it for yourself.

The henna is still too dark for my liking, is there anything that I can do?

Yes absolutely and this certainly does NOT involve scrubbing your skin off. If you want to fade your henna, use products like face cleansers and exfoliators.

PLEASE NOTE!

Not everyone has a reaction to henna, but it can be painful if you do. The signs range from discomfort, such as burning or tingling, to painful stinging, swelling, redness and blistering of the skin.
